TOPIC: Lots of possibilities

There are a number of issues with this component (in terms of the execution of the functionality/styling) that needs improvement overall but one area that would be really useful to improve upon would be the ability for the system to recognize whether or not the email used belongs to a user on the site or not.

If so, then that user should be able to view a list of all of their available downloads within Joomla (sort of like a dropbox for them). This will probably require some rework.

Also, if the above functionality were added then a JomSocial application could be added as well that would show the users downloads within their profile (but only have it visible to them, not everyone).

Our environment here is one of a community college so it would be really nice to have the ability open to our Faculty to be able to receive files via a dropbox-type functionality.

So it would also be useful if each user could define different folders they want to other users to be able to drop files into (and then give users rights to those folders).

In terms of UI, you might also want to just take a look at XFileSharing which is a Perl Script that provides an awesome YouSendIt functionality (with large file support).

Hope to help you improve upon your product with some development of my own!

Hi,

This is one of the most interesting and fruitful suggestion made in improving matamko.

Quite frankly, we understand that our current version is fairly simple (but stable, i mean a software is as good as its stability).

I was wondering if you can email us the url of your website? Please email to support [a t] matako . com
