Dear users, we just received a complaint from a customer who made a successful payment but was unable to download his files after waiting for more than 15 minutes.

We managed to resolve it by doing a manual check and emailing him the file.

At the same time, we have already sent a support ticket to our outsourced ecommerce vendor for clarifications. And while we wait for their reply, we would like to let you know that such an incident might occur during this period of time.

Dear customers, with immediate effect [30th August 2009], customers can now purchase a new package that allows you to download the latest version of Matamko (Joomla Component) with a 6 month support at the price of USD$15.

The reason for this stems from the fact that we have really quite a few requests asking for discounts. And after much deliberation, we decided to offer a 6-month package at USD$15 to complement our 1 year package at USD$25.

We believe that offering discounts without strong reasons will hurt the sustainability of the business and that it is unfair to previous customers.

Matamko v1.1.1 has been release to fix a bug one of our customer found. We have already emailed this latest file to all our customers.

Matamko Version 1.1.1 9th August 2009 00.28 HOURS GMT +8, Singapore time

- Fixed a bug to allow database field to allow 800 characters.
- This allows some clients with problems in the 3rd or 4th download link to fix the problem.

If you are installing this for the first time, simply install Matamko Version 1.1.1 to your Joomla installation (For Joomla 1.5.X only)

If you are UPGRADING, please pay attention to the below:

- Back up all your site's data, and database.
- Uninstall the older version of Matamko from Joomla's interface
- Install Matamko Version 1.1.1
- Remove the OLD menu link to the previous version of Matamko
- Create a new menu link to the new version (IMPT)

All the previous records of all users, the files they send and the files will remain on the server after install Matamko Version 1.1.1

Dear customers and everyone in the Joomla community,

With immediate effect (1st April 2009), Matamko has decided to change our propriety software license to GNU GPL 2.0

And this is not an April Fool's Joke, it so falls on today because our launch promotion ended on 31th March 2009.

Why the change?

To be really honest, the main motivation for the change came because Joomla Extensions announced that in July this year, they will no longer be listing non-GPL extensions. And as far as we are concerned, the JED provides a steady stream of highly targetted visitors to our website with a very good sales conversion. As such, after much deliberation, we decided to go GPL and to mitigate the risk of a small group of people forking our product by adding minimal (or no changes) at a lower cost, our pricing which still covers 1 year of support and access to our upgrades and patches will remain the same. Please note that this amount you pay us is no longer for the license (as it's GPL) but for the continued support and access to the updates.

How are existing customers affected?

It's good news for you!

You are now no longer bounded by our propriety license (1 license per domain) and can now install Matamko on as many websites as you wish!

You will still continue to enjoy the dedicated support we offer.
